Alliance Boots were one of the first retailers to join the Round table on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Alliance Boots is working with other RSPO members to develop a system to ensure that palm oil is grown more sustainably and that conditions in producing countries are improved.
To reduce waste going to landfill, Alliance Boots drafted a policy in which surplus, redundant, or otherwise un-sellable stock is made available for staff to purchase, or sent out as part of a charitable donation program.
